EDITORIAL DESIGN:
Sportsister Magazine
Sportsiter Magazine is a monthly publication designed to inspire women to lead active, healthy lifestyles through accessible print and web design.
My job was to re-design their brand identity, the design for the printed magazine and to produce their website.
BRANDING
The challenge was to re-design the Sportsister logo to work across printed and digital formats alike, while keeping their brand identity.
The name of the brand, the rounded lines of the font and the blue and pink colours create a strong visual identity that is easily recognised and linked with sports for women. We needed to keep that in a simplified version of the logotype.
We opted to use the logotype only for the magazine and most printed material, whereas the new logomark was more appropriate for small formats and icons.
MAGAZINE DESIGN
The magazine was designed in a style half way between a sports and a life-style magazine. It was a 52-page publication with free distribution and a 50,000 print run.
RESPONSIVE WEBSITE

1. Creating the site map
2. Wireframing
3. Designing
4. Developing the website using word press
5. Testing with users on different devices
6. Amending
